About the group.

The North East Wales and Chester Powerbockers is a bocking group based in the Flintshire and Cheshire area. The group was established in the spring of 2010 and our members ages currently range from 10 to over 50 but like bocking there is no reasonable age limit.
We regularly get together for a bounce, practicing skills and helping and encouraging each other. We meet at many outdoor locations and organise gym sessions for indoor practice and a friendly game of Powerball, (Basketball on stilts!)
The group attends various events both near and far as well as travelling to meets with other bocking groups around the country. Pictures and videos from some of these can be seen in our gallery

As a group whose aim is to promote a fun sport we try to keep rules to a minimum. However, in the interests of health and safety and to increase our acceptability as a serious sport our group has developed a series of documents that we follow at events, practice sessions and indoor gym meets. These are presented here as links to read in full, as our Mission Statement. , our Personal Disclaimer. for gym meets that everyone attending is required to read and sign and our Risk Assessment.
